MISSION

Support the marketing team by building and maintaining full communications timelines for assigned events covering website content, email, SMS, social media, and beyond. Execute assigned event campaigns via owned social media channels, paid channels, and/or through close collaboration with the marketing team, partners, and talent. Other responsibilities include acting as liaison with internal design team for creative needs (organic and paid), collaborating with NCLH on Sixthman event inclusion, organizing promotions and sweepstakes, and showcasing Sixthman events as they are happening at sea.

EVENT Responsibilities

o Each marketing team member is assigned ownership of 4-6 events

o Lead marketing conversations in internal and external Event Huddles

o Build, manage, and maintain the event Communications Timeline for assigned events (all website, email, SMS, and social media messaging)

o Build, manage, and maintain the event Marketing Plan for assigned events (paid media, promotions, PR, on site and other host/talent campaigns)

o Coordinate content capture opportunities to support marketing efforts for assigned events including planning, logistics, execution, and delivery

o Evaluate marketing plans with marketing team members based on their area of focus and expertise

o Regularly evaluate, refine, and maintain all event assets, content, communication, and websites to ensure consistency and strength of tone and voice, often in collaboration with the Community Experience Specialist

o Connect with host and/or primary talent marketing teams to coordinate joint promotion of all event milestones, especially those related to launch

DEPARTMENT Responsibilities

o Serve as liaison to the Creative Department by submitting design orders and video requests for Digital and Paid Media assets, monitoring progress, advancing the review process, and trafficking assets to their destination

o Support Marketing Manager with Paid Digital and Traditional marketing efforts including collaborating with the Digital Agency, media partners, and all other traditional and promotional outlets

o Organize and track fulfillment for all cabin promotions and sweepstakes including charitable offerings and the revenue they produced for each entity

o Track Paid Media budgets and ensure all event marketing plans are updated on a regular basis (minimum weekly)

o Assist Marketing Manager with ad reporting to ensure the team is prepared to review performance on a regular basis to adjust approach accordingly

o Process and reconcile all incoming Paid Media invoices

o Manage day-to-day social media channels for assigned events which may extend beyond the event assignments noted above. The day-to-day social media management will include execution as well as campaign coordination with hosts if no standalone social media channels are being utilized for an assigned event

o Grow and maintain all related social media followings and connected audiences for events with standalone channels

o Help to develop and execute strategy to activate all social media channels for assigned events from launch through landing and renewal (as applicable)

o Collaborate on social media planning with department lead, Communications team, and assigned event Community Experience Specialist

o Develop compelling copy paired with industry leading creative assets to effectively communicate the event offerings, showcase the overall value proposition, and engage the community in a two-way conversation

o Master SMMS and Social CRM platforms to build, execute, and evaluate the most effective social media campaigns and approach event by event

SAILING Responsibilities

o The Marketing Specialist will sail on assigned events as needed, or about 4-6 events per calendar year as the position serves as primarily Ship Side support during sailing season

o Develop an onboard photo/video shot list and content plan with department leadership that showcases each event in the moment, prepares the Event Team to launch next steps after sailing, and sets the event (and Sixthman) up for success for future promotions

OTHER Responsibilities

o Advance Sixthman’s show & tell marketing approach and best practices for utilizing photo and video assets

o Master Sixthman’s digital photo and video asset management systems

o Additional projects and duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

· Bachelors degree required (or equivalent experience)

· 3 years of relevant experience with a focus in social media and content creation

· Experience with Salesforce (or comparable ESP), SMS, CDP, SMMS, and other communications and audience management platforms a plus

· Experience with Monday.com a plus

· Social Media expert familiar with best practices across all channels including (but not limited to) Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, and beyond

· Must have extraordinary verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

· Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities

· Detail oriented with high accuracy and ability to multitask

· Ability to work under pressure with a strong sense of urgency and adapt to challenges, both known and unknown
